Wow, that actually worked. I was already giving up on the idea of ever using the latex->pdf export in my beloved emacs editor (or anything with latex->pdf conversion, for that matter). Thank you so much, pnobel! For the record, the files in question were located in C: Users me AppData Roaming MiKTeX 2.9 tex context base and ended with the *.mkii extension (including the supp-pdf.mkii that was causing me grief). I did a backup of all the files and removed them, as pnobel suggested.
Compiling latex files and producing pdf files works like a charm now. That's awesome. Edit: Also for the record, I noticed that after the first successful compilation, *.mkii files with the same names appeared once more in that folder, but the content of supp-pdf.mkii looks different now, and there is no documentclass in there whatsoever, which leads me to believe that the supp-pdf.mkii that was downloaded on-demand (or wherever it came from) was broken to begin with.
