Hello, I am also running into this 'issue'. We have a need to install the IBM ProPrinterIII XL x64 driver on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have the.GPD file from the Win2k3 x64 CD, but how do I install this? It seems I need to edit ntprint.inf or create a custom.inf file. Has anyone successfully installed this driver on Win2k8 before?

We did check with IBM, there is no x64 driver for this printer. I did try the InfoPrint 6500 driver but only received a lot of garbled output.maybe due to the printer emulation setting. Thanks in advance, Peter Sebastionelli.

You will need the 2003 CD. If you have just the GPD, you will need to create the inf to install the file which seems a waste of time since the inf exists on the CD. When you have the CD in the drive, launch printmanagement.msc, expand the computer name, Drivers, right click Add driver, x64, Have disk, point to the amd64 directory on the CD, the list of manufacture / models will be displayed, find the driver and finsh the install.
