Hp Altec Lansing Drivers For Windows 7

Hi I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and noticed that my music sound quality isn't the same. For one the sound seems muffled and my subwoofer seems like it is only half working (there is still sound coming out from it). It is not a total loss of sound or a Realtek driver problem like many posts I've read. My sound system is altec lansing vs4121 and it is directly connected to the headphone jack of my laptop. I've also noticed that the sound quality of my headphones are inferior when plugged into my laptop.

However, when my sound system is plugged into my phone there is no problem (same with my headphones) and there is no physical damage on the jack, so it must be a software problem within my computer. Thank you for your help! Hi Philip, Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I regret the inconvenience caused to you. Mhp3rd Hd Deutsch Patch there.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6128ca. I made no changes to any settings after the Windows 10 upgrade and have tried using my headphones while plugged in the same audio jack. The problem is similar: there is sound but the quality has been greatly reduced as if the music is muffled and distant. Method 1 did not work and device manager indicates that all my sound devices are up to date (AMD High Definition Audio Device, CyberLink WebCam Virtual Driver and IDT Hight Definition Audio Codec).

Thank you for your help. I seem to have fixed the problem for now. It was a driver problem but the new driver was somewhat hard to find. Here's what I did: 1.

Opened device manager 2. Selected IDT Hight Definition Audio Codec 3. Update driver 4. Browse my computer for driver software 5.

Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer 6. Instead of selecting from the two IDT Hight Definition Audio Codec versions with verified compatibility (dating both from 2011), I selected a device called High Definition Audio Device. I was prompted with a compatibility warning message but went ahead anyway. Now the driver date is 7/9/2015 and my audio is back to normal. HOWEVER is this a driver released for the Windows 10 update or am I making a mistake by changing to this driver? Thank you for your help. I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6128ca.
